Flip n' Toss Multi-Use Ball Pit

It’s a versatile ball pit designed for multiple types of play and easy cleanup. Flip the lid open to transform it into a fun ball pit where kids can toss balls through hoops and openings. With the lid closed, children can score points by tossing balls into the holes, creating an entertaining way to earn points and return all the balls to their place.

I developed several concepts, created CAD models, reviewed samples in person, made modifications, and advised the project managers on maintaining design accuracy to its theme while still hitting target ZPC.

Designing a mechanism that could flip up and securely stay in place without the need for additional materials. We relied solely on our PVC and welding capabilities, which required multiple rounds of sampling. Additionally, we ensured that the ball pit is safe for children, even when it is in the closed position.
