Hello there...

call me Angie!

I am a bilingual industrial designer based in Phoenix, AZ, with over 7 years of experience in the field. I have designed and successfully sold hundreds of products across various categories, both globally through physical retail and e-commerce channels. Known for my detail-oriented and user-focused approach, I thrive on collaborating with teams to transform concepts from sketches into visually appealing, market-ready products. In my role at Bestway USA, I actively participated in product design and development, considering factors like cost and market desirability for a diverse range of indoor and outdoor products. Additionally, I supported students at the ASU Library Maker Space and interned at Autodesk, where I organized workshops on Fusion 360. I hold a Bachelor’s in Industrial Design from Arizona State University and an Associate’s in General Studies and Art from South Mountain College.

Work Experience

2017-2025

Bestway USA Inc

At Bestway, I have actively engaged in product design and development, starting from research and ideation all the way to prototype analysis and revisions. I've designed and developed a variety of products, ensuring that factors like cost, safety, ergonomics, and market desirability are always considered, particularly in areas such as indoor and outdoor toys, water sports, and home products. Collaborating closely with both U.S. and international product teams, I've worked with managers, designers, and departments like sales and business development to create dynamic results. I also led the creation of design style guides for key categories in the U.S. market. To stay ahead of industry trends, I attended trade shows and sought out innovative opportunities to enhance our company's impact. Additionally, I regularly presented my research and concepts to diverse teams during company-wide events.

2016-2017

ASU Library Mkrspace

In my role, I assisted students with their design inquiries, offering support in 3D modeling, 3D printing, vinyl cutting, and basic sewing. I guided students from various majors on their creative projects, ensuring that I was available to help regardless of their level of experience. Additionally, I provided design aid for library marketing projects, contributing to the promotion of library resources.

2016

Autodesk - Fusion 360

During my internship, I had the opportunity to create, organize, and host Fusion360 workshops for fellow ASU students. I provided support to students with their 3D modeling questions, helping them navigate challenges and enhancing their skills. Additionally, I actively posted and shared social media content related to the workshops and projects, fostering engagement and promoting our initiatives within the community. This experience allowed me to develop my organizational and communication skills while contributing to the learning environment at ASU.

Now that you know I'm a hard worker, let me share what I'm really like outside of work hours.

When I’m not sleeping, eating, or drinking DESIGN, I’m probably preparing for my next powerlifting competition. I love to bring as much pink as possible into the gritty, messy, and dark gyms of the Southwest. While I train, I usually listen to audiobooks at double speed. I'm a nonfiction enthusiast who enjoys everything from Soldadera Mexican revolutionary memoirs, to true crime books by John E. Douglas, the Mindhunter. To balance it all out, I also love intense mystery thrillers. And if it’s August, I'm likely reading one poetry chapbook a day for the Sealy Challenge.

In my free "FREE" time, I enjoy playing with my nieces. When I say "play," I mean we’re making playdough from scratch, exploring every water park in the Phoenix metro area, and digging out my pristine, well-cared-for childhood toys to enjoy them all over again. I love to keep my inner child alive and open to all the wonders of the world.

And when I travel I love visiting every museum, aquarium, and zoo. I’ll look at every building and read every plaque. I carry a proud Mexican American background with a love of spicy food and Bad Bunny, and always happy to help any paisano I meet on my journeys.

But does your girl relax? What? Lifting heavy weights and constantly thinking there’s a serial killer behind you doesn't sound relaxing? Well, I absolutely love a deep clean. Give me some Dawn soap and a leaf blower, and I’ll show you what clean really looks like.

And I also enjoy walking my dogs!
